Hi all,
First of all, we're not dead! (Yay?) Thank you for the inquiries. We do intend to keep our reviews going. However, at Captious, we I strongly believe in a no-stress reviewing philosophy. We welcome all review requests, and we appreciate the fact that requests are still coming in four years after we opened the site. We'd like to remind you that your request might be rejected, picked up by a guest reviewer, or, like the (un)fortunate owner of Frozen-rain.net, picked up by a staff and reviewed three months afterward. *cough*

Hello World!
Captious is back from the dead. We apologize for the unexpected hiatus, but we've opened requests again. The rules are the same, in particular, we are still selective.
We'd also like to announce our interest in new blood, both in guest reviewers and those who'd like to move in with us. The benefits?
1. A no-stress policy: you may select the sites you want to review, and you may request to collaborate with other reviewers.
2. Room to grow: Here at Captious, every review that we plan to publish undergoes a peer-review process. This quality control exercise is also designed to help you grow as a reviewer, and for us to learn from each other.
3. A lifetime supply of chocolate. Payable to your beneficiary when you die.
In an effort to get back in tune after the long hiatus, we're making a special offer: To review as a guest, simply send us your review of a site on the waiting list (given that it is marked for guest reviews). To be considered for a permanent position, please forward a few sample reviews either newly written from our waiting list or previously written for another WPR. If there's no site on the waiting list, you may tackle Sensorial'Org, Chiba, or Captious itself. On the other hand, if you'd rather send in an application and go through the formal procedures, you're also more than welcomed to.

Indefinite Hiatus
Our sincerest apologies for the lack of life on Captious. We are all alive but with other priorities as the moment.
The waiting list is cleared but we are not taking reviews until further notice. Thank you for your support and understanding.
