We're back!
So... we lied about coming back last December. It's been almost a year, but we're here now, strong as ever!
Of course, it would not be like us to come back without something maliciously delicious to add to the site, so we proudly present you with... EEP (for Evil Elf's Pet or Evil Elysa's Pet, whatever you prefer). EEP is our very own little mascot, and you can see him peeking out at the top of the layout.

New Reviews and an Annoucement
Reviews: First thing on our agenda is that our Waiting List has been cleared. The reviews for Fantasy Forest and Moonlight Serenity have been added to the database. Our sincerest apologies for the long wait.
Announcement: You'll notice that "Submission Form" and "Waiting List" are currently closed. Captious Pedants is announcing a hiatus. We don't know how long the break will last, but expect to hear from us come December. Staff Applications will still be looked at, however.

Staff Applications
Please read the Staff Application carefully if you wish to be a staff at Captious Pedants. (Hint: pay attention to the words that are in bold.) Read all of the questions. Read the whole question. (Hint: "Pick out the grammatically correct sentence among the following ones...") Don't try hard to impress us. Don't try to be funny. Don't try to be a wise guy. Thank you for your interest.
Elysa updated: I'm trying to be nice, but this is getting on my nerves. If you're trying to get accepted, have the courtesy (or at least the brain) to read everything on the "Staff Application" page. How hard is it to miss "send in a sample review" when it's written three times on the same page?
If you have a genuine interest in joining, SEND IN A SAMPLE REVIEW. If you're just doing this to annoy us, you have too much free time on your hands. Go vacuum your house, clean your dog, or better yet, go do your homework.
From now on, I'll simply delete all applications that are sent without a sample review. There's no point in debating. If you can't read, you're not fit for the job. We don't want you on our staff.
I'm sorry if I'm scaring off innocent folks, but this stupidity needs to stop.

Can you say
The review for Anime Graphx is finished. It's 20 pages long, single-spaced. So if you want to read it, I'd highly recommend a comfortable chair, some pillows and a lot of snacks.
There were some errors with the comments form, and we're terribly sorry for not realizing it earlier. The error has been fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
